More spinning new yarns at Saori Santa Cruz

SPINNING TO WEAVE
Yesterday day 8 of "Tour De Fleece " I carded some naturaly grown colored cotton that will turn darker green after it is washed because the color is grown in.I know it looks tan but it will turn subsequently darker green with each washing.
I took the the carded cotton( brushed) rolled it around a LONG stick and made cotton punis then spun them on my book charka. I will use this hand spun single yarns as weft  in some of my saori weaving

 MY TOTORO MASCOT KEPT WATCH

TODAY DAY 9 OF THE TDF I SPUN SOME HAND DYED POLWORTH  WOOL DYED BY  AND GIVEN TO ME BY MY FRIEND SUE .
SHE ACTUALLY GAVE THIS TO ME LAST YEAR BUT I  WAS SAVING  IT.... SUDDENLY  TODAY I REALLY WANTED TO SPIN IT UP  SO
I  STARTED SPINNING AND  FILLING  MY BOBBINS

THEN I REALLY WANTED TO  MOVE MY WHEEL OUTSIDE  THERE I WAS SPINNING AMONG  OUR FRUIT TREES.WITH THE BIRDS  AND AS I GLANCED AT THE TURNING COLORS OF THE RIPENING FRUIT  I REALIZED WHY I WAS DRAWN TO SPIN THIS WONERDFUL FIBER TODAY.....

I WAS SPINNING WHAT I CALL NOW MY  "RIPENING PLUM YARN"

IT WAS AS IF THE COLORS HAD MELTED OFF THE PLUMS  RIGHT INTO MY SPINING

A  INSPIRATIONAL  HAND WOVEN , HAND SPUN SCARF I BELIEVE WOULD BE FUN TO WEAVE.

CAPTURED  WITHIN THE TWISTS OF THE HAND SPUN ART YARN  SUN , BREEZES, BIRDS  AND PLUM COLORS OF THIS PEACEFUL JULY MORNING IN THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS.

PEACE THROUGH FIBERS
