I had two spinners taking classes individually .
the first student had been trying to learn with utube video's but was failing so she scheduled a class and brought her wheel and in 2 hours she was well on her way to go forth and spin her heart out at home.
she had purchased her wheel on line someplace over a year ago it was like new because she could not understand all the parts etc. she now knows how address those problems.
Jeanne was given a wheel with missing parts and she was having trouble understanding it. she made some replacment parts on a 3D printer but needed more instruction.
she had never used a niddy noddy before so after we spun a bobbin i finished her session showing her how to make a skein.you can see the purple plastic parts she hacked to get her wheel operational. i showed her about double drive wheel, cut her drive band shorther and adjusted the mother of all for more tension. the tied on supports are wobbley but hey they worked!
