A Saori Weaving, Sewing, Spinning Retreat at Saori Santa Cruz

i am still catching up on my blogs for 2019.
 meet Carol she is came to the studio for a week long emersion Saori retreat to weave and sew saori garments. last october , we also did some spinning.

 day 1 first we nailed down winding a warp, beaming, threading

  her first warp will go on the piccolo loom she will take back to her Air B and B



  Of course i taught her how to use the fablous  Kenzo table top beaming and threading system here



   sucessful she now hangs the warp  that she she just threaded and  wind some bobbins

  she put the piccolo 15 lb loom  in her car and will weave at night durning the week



  DAY 2
  Carol brought enough yardage for a vest from home  so we sewed the the first part of the second day





  she finished her vest  and love it  and then….



  she wanted to spin...

  DAY 3 this is her first scarf finished





 day 3 she  aslo brought back ther piccolo  first scarf she had  finished it  so we warped a second  scarf for the piccolo.


 

using the kenzo system too.



  also everyday she is weaving  on the saori saori ch60 loom here for a jacket





day 4 we went  to a my local spinning group meeting in the morning and she had a blast


 DAY 5 weaving for a jacket



   what fantastic yardage!

THE PICCOLO SECOND SCARF " BLUEBERRY" is off the loom too !




 there was a lot fringe twisting for scarves too.



BEAUTIFUL!!!
