she was visiting here in California and wanted To introduce her family to weaving by way of the Saori philosophy . What a warm fun experience and fantastic results with new weavers and knowledgable weavers alike.
As the sun moves behind the mountains every one finished up and removed there weavings from there looms.
The time came for the 6 yards to come off the saori loom ready for sewing, but wait, no eletricity! oh no!. we went ahead and sewed by hand .The pinned sleevless jacket went back to her room for the midnight oil hand sewing matharon! ( see the next blog post for finished photos of the hand woven jacket)
5 1/2 yards was perfect. out on the deck where we still had some light to pin and piece.
absolutely wondeful weaving yardage
the light is fading in late afternoon at the studio
but outside we see the warm yarn colors that were chosen and how textural and fun!
HAPPY , VERY HAPPY WEAVERS!
PEACE IN WEAVING

I'm quite intrigued by that garment that has the armholes, do you have a picture of it draped on a person? it looks great already though!
