I am selling my beautiful bosworth weaving shuttle collection. Put your hand spun charaka spindle directly into the shuttle . No skeining or winding unto a shuttle. Brilliant I can not spin long draw anymore so i sold my charkha’s
These shuttles work with the bosworth regular length spindles . not spindles from other makers. They also work with bobbins and quills like a conventional shuttle . I will include one or two harrisville wooden bobbins with each shuttle. I have numbered them .INCLUDING A free CHARKHA SPINDLE WITH EACH SHUTTLE $19 to buy new

1 is $70 i can not remember the wood, i think red birch something like that.
2 is cherry, $75
4 black walnut $80
7, $80 ( 7 is a rare open bottom slim design, walnut)
3, canary wood premium wood $80
5 birds eye maple $85 premium wood
6 premium wood purple heart $80
Shipping is $11.50 to the lower 48 states ,can ship two in one package same price.

Each comes with a wooden bobbin and a spindle too.

I adore these shuttles! The way they feel in my hand , the hand crafted beautiful woods! I have kept 2 , but because of their unique charkha spindle option and knowing they rare to find i am passing them on so they will get more chances to be used again.

From the bosworth web site
“Patterned after a classic design by Ed Bosworth, Jonathan’s father, our own Boat Shuttles are made in beautifully hand-finished woods. No matter which wood you choose, you will enjoy weaving with these smooth shuttles.”

“These Boat Shuttles are a perfect fit for our own Bosworth Charkha Spindles.
You can also use them with Harrisville or Leclerc standard 4″ bobbins
or your own paper bobbins.
Note: Our Shuttles cannot be used with the spindles from an Indian book charkha, and our Charkha Spindles do not fit the Bluster Bay shuttles meant for Indian book charkhas.”
