the California atmospheric river storms keep coming this is our 12th storm this year! students arrive from other states in spite of the gnarly road conditions for classes here at the studio .
meet Joi, she has taken a few classes from saori studios around the country and she brought a few pieces she wove to show me. Her class was a all day weave a scarf class where I taught her some new tecniques
She has a color preference she prefers black greys red and oranges.
EVEN IN THE RAIN STORM THE STUDIO IS READY
Joi showing me a couple of woven pieces she did at some other studios a few months ago.
I taught her tab fringes right from the start for her scarf
and clasped weft
ta da all done! only twisting fringes and i soaked her scarf in hot water with
A over 80" Saori scarf that wraped around twice woven in a day that turned out fabulous !
wonderful saori weaving day.

Meet Trudie . she is an accomplished spinner and weaver BUT her Lendrum wheel was not giving her the bulky singles yarn she needed for her tapestry/rugs . She tried out the lout s10 C. at the studio in a class and she produced the loveliest singles!
Trudie sold her old wheel and bought the Louet s10C another Louet convert spinner !
