ROOPA has been busy weaving  on her saori piccolo loom while saai is in class working on here pastel scarf

meet jen and janet. jen bought a saori ch60 loom after taking this 2 hour class and janet her  friend bloved learing how to weave! they will be back in october janet weave ,while jan learns to thread a saori ready made warp in class !

Izea and his mom rebecca are back for their second class ….

 look at him go! his last life i am convinced he was a weaver? 9 years old! saori folding wood wx60 loom here

 rececca is weaving yardage for a shirt for her husband so her weaving stays and will be on going

linda's  spinning ,carding class, and her weaving she brought to share

 linda has a manual drum carder and loves it but she has bags( 50 lbs)  of fiber  to process at home soooo

 having a electric carder is  really a necessity ! i had her use my duncan electric carder and she loved it , because i had 2 of them this one ended up going home with her and is now  her's and  at her place !

she loves art yarn . she bought a spinolution espinner spinolution firefly wheel a few months ago and loves it here is her art yarn that she spun using the the learning the drum carder batts 

 she has been  saori weaving on her ch60 loom  and here are her last few months worth of yardage!

it has been fun sharing the goings on and classes at saori santa cruz

All my hand spun art yarn for the 2024 tour de fleece

I started the tour de fleece sick in bed for 2 days  took covid test , 3 times  but nope , no covid ,just a 3 day virus !so the first day  i spun on my ashford espinner3 in bed  for 2 days ! 

by day 3 i could sit up longer so i spun a thick thin singles and i was off and running  ready to continue!

day /stage 5 i took my first first 2 days  of spinning and plied it with a contrast single

 i so love my new spinolution echo with the redesigned treadle. i have 2 of them own them
