SEWING SAORI GARMENTS FROM HAND WOVEN SAORI YARDAGE , and teachers learn saori tecniques class at Saori Santa Cruz

 I taught a all day  Sewing class to a weaving teacher Lim. she works a Camp Hill California . it is an organization that provides an environment for special needs "FRIENDS". 

Here what we accomplished in one day 

first piece  we finished was a vest with a back feature that had a cross over pannel 

love this color of this vest all the  yardage was woven by the special needs students 

second piece was a jacket with pockets 

 my personal favorite!  it is so cute…love the two green different yardages used together looks wonderful

3 piece was  a draping collar vest from the saori design books 

 this is my favorite saori vest pattern it comes from the red begining saori design book

the 4th piece we sewed in class was a bright fun striped top 

here were the pieces that Lim brought that were woven by the the special needs student we used.

the following week 3 students from camp hill came for saori weaving . Lim , and marie, and the 3 rd student i forget her name ( head thunk )

 i showed  lim  how to make made a saori fast hat  from her yardage
