Meet a new group of spinners learning to spin classes at my covid safe studio in February .
Martha has spun on a spindle for a few years but wanted to learn wheel spinning and buy a Spinolution wheel, she just did not know what model. So she came to a class and we went over basics and she tried out some spinolution wheels as she learned to wheel spin.
The spinolution wheels stand out from any other treadle wheel. the engineering of the treadling is truly amazing. all other wheels have HEEL TOE ACTION. toe then heel puts more strain on your knees and hips. the spinolution wheels have rocking sided to side mothin and the low profile treadling means ergonomic motion and less knee hip back strain. you can treadle for hours pain free the next day!!
Martha fell in love with the Echo with the lazy kate and the 16 oz bobbin and bought it and went right home happy to continue her spinning adventures.

I have a story about my vintage ashford traditional wheel
I bought it used 25 years ago at a yard sale . it has been used to teach on and rent out all that time and spins beautiful for a 60 year old wheel! how ever this winter i left it in a unheated studio and mildew formed, i removed the mildew it was fine but the wood was all blocky so i stained it a dark indigo blue a few weeks ago! it turned out so handsome ! and it spins like it always did perfectly!
Natalie will be back for more classes soon
Dolores wanted to learn to spin! never having knit, or crocheted or woven or felted and is brand new to the fiber arts! what a happy day and a new future she will have makeing and using yarn!
Dolores spun two spindles full of singles and then learned to ply on the electric wheel.
she did not know what a skein was and now she has her first hank of handspun yarn!
