New products from 2018 Ashford
there new 6 cone yarn stand
indispensable, no pigtails or eye hooks to snag yarns ! my can not warp with out tool
6 cone thread stand here I threw all my other bad cone stands away!
it could have been a nightmare warp but ashford warp weights to the rescue.
on the left are the ashford weights, on the right are a craftsman made knock off i tried as well. they look similar but they do not remotely preform the same .
the cup hooks on the tear drop style are to large and open, the washers are smaller and therefore not heavy enough to weigh down the warps well , they fell off . to put the washers on it is fidely to get them over the cup hooks where as the ashfords never fell off were the right weight and preformed swimmingly ! for decades I used film canisters, tins, S hooks with fishing weights etc etc , BUT THESE ASHFORD WARPS WEIGHTS ARE AMAZING. I bought a slew of them for the studio and I sell them here in my Etsy shop ashford warp weights here

Your studio is such an inspiring space and you can see what a happy day these mums and kids spent making pillows. I had to laugh at the technology creeping in with the children's cell phone, or maybe they were taking a photograph? I shall have to get some of those Ashford weights, they look invaluable.
ReplyDeleteYes they were taking photos photos with there moms phone ! The childten were so excited and engaged . The children all want to come back and wanted to weave again and learn how to spin yarn too they told me! The moms want to have a class with more of their friends so they are going to put it together and schedule a class with out children for a friend’s craft day here at studio in May or June !
