Catching up on Octobers blogs at SAORI SANTA CRUZ a birthday weaving party and a student weaves a spectacular saori wool blanket .

October was busy and then preoccupied with my own  health stuff so i need to catch up now  on the happenings in the studio for October 

class room ready for a 6 student class 






It was a group of friends who came for a birthday celebration ! Prasada's birthday and Adreana got friends Varum, Janice, Dave, Sri Rama  together for a saori weaving session.

Joi wanted to weave a large saori blanket in black whites and greys.
she traveled from out out of state for 4 days to to create a wonderful sucessful blanket .
 her choice of yarns to use 
 winding the large bobbins 
 you can fill much more bulky yarns on the saori large bobbins and boat shuttles 
 what a fun few days!
