Every January and February for 30 days i challenge my self to weave a yard day.
in the the last 7 years i have only skipped one year when i had the flu .
The first 12 days was a 14 yard warp that yielded 12 yards
i used my SAORI CH60 -A2 LOOM HERE to weave this year. i love it because it will rise up 4.9" high not that i am that tall but but i love sitting higher when i weve it is eaiser on my joints
day 18 , and i wove 18 yards total so far ( 6 yard 4" from the blue green warp)
just off the loom last night
also today i neede to wind 14 more yards to have enough to finish my yard a day for 30 days challenge so besides my yard i need to prep a new warp! with my KENZO TABLE TOP WARPING SYSTEM HERE IT IS SUCH A FUN PROCESS , No back strain and going from fron to the back of the loom to beam on it is all ergonomically designed to make the warping process a joy not a burden
here is my new warp is browns and blues

over the many years i have been weaving i have used S hooks, fishing weights, film canisters with coins forks etc etc to weight warps but these are such a connivence and the variable weight washers that you can custom add or subtract from the hooks is sooo well designed ! i have used 6 of them already! makes those loose warps behave fast!
another new accessory that i can not live without is the ASHFORD 6 CONE YARN STAND /HOLDER HERE WHEN I AM WEAVING CLASPED WEFTS OR WINDING BOBBINS I HATE IT WHEN MY CONES OR TUBES FALL OVER OR ROLL AROUND CATCHING OTHER THREADS ON CONES AND SOON I HAVE ROYAL MESS. NOT ANY MORE!
i love that there is no seam in metal hooks or pigtails to catch! such a well designed cone stand ! i have two in the studio now , indispensible!
