summer weaving classes at Saori Santa Cruz, and creating fiber batts to spin

I woke early  a few days this past week before the heat hit the tree house studio to card some art yarn batts for the upcoming Tour DE Fleece spinning marathon i do every year in my RAVELRY group
the race is a take off on the Tour de France  tour only we spin everyday during the race. it will  start is two weeks!  join the  group it is way fun! we draw for fiber prizes during the race too!

this was my cooling greens batts with a lot of angelina sparkles of course!
  I cardered a gradient batt  ….

TADA! this is mostly merino and will be a prize durning TDF18 in the Ravelry group

these subquant batts are for the tour  for me to spin.
  over 10 oz of greens
my journey into carding neps … these were black neps in a white BFL contrast
i carded white neps in a back mohair base too … come back duringin july to see how how they spun up durning the race!

temps were climbing sooo i  needed to get to my next color way  ..

enter my serger scraps from my sewing  overlocking maching from  my loom bags  saved theses from the garbage
